CRANBERRY PECAN CHEESE BALL RECIPE


Ingredients:

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese, mixing well with a spatula until uniform.
2. Add the dried cranberries, chopped pecans, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the cheese mixture. Stir with a wooden spoon until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
3. Transfer the mixture to a clean, flat surface. With slightly damp hands, press and mold the cheese mixture into a ball shape, ensuring it is well packed. If needed, use a bit of parchment paper to aid in shaping.
4. Wrap the formed cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap, shaping it further if necessary, and refrigerate for at least an hour to allow it to firm up and the flavors to meld.
5. After the cheese ball has chilled, unwrap it and coat it with the remaining chopped pecans or dried cranberries, pressing gently to ensure the toppings stick.
6. Carefully place the cheese ball on a decorative serving dish or platter. Allow it to sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes prior to serving, which will help enhance its creamy texture for spreading.
