1 can of buttermilk biscuits
1 can of apple pie filling
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Icing:
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking pan or skillet.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Dip each biscuit into the melted butter, coating all sides, and then roll in the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
- Arrange the buttered and sugar-coated biscuits closely together in the prepared pan.
- Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces and mix in the vanilla extract.
- Spoon the chopped apple pie filling over the biscuits, then sprinkle any remaining sugar-cinnamon mixture on top. Drizzle the remaining melted butter over the biscuits.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and the apples are bubbling.
- While baking, whisk together the confectioners’ sugar and milk to make the icing.
- Once the biscuits are done, remove from the oven and drizzle the icing over the warm biscuits. Serve immediately.
