Grape Moonshine Recipe

Ingredients:

2 lbs of grapes (choose your preferred variety)
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 cup of water
1 cup of Everclear or another high-proof spirit like vodka

Directions:

Begin by thoroughly washing the grapes and detaching them from their stems. Transfer the cleaned grapes to a sizable bowl or jar.
In a saucepan, mix the sugar with the water. Warm over medium heat and stir occasionally until the sugar completely dissolves, creating a simple syrup.
Pour the prepared simple syrup over the grapes in your selected container.
With a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently crush the grapes to release their juices into the syrup.
Allow the grape and syrup mixture to cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, stir in the Everclear or your chosen high-proof alcohol, ensuring it’s well mixed.
Securely seal the container with a lid and place it in a cool, dark area for a minimum of one week, allowing the flavors to blend.
After the infusion period, filter the concoction through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a fresh bottle or jar, separating the grape solids.
Your grape moonshine is prepared for enjoyment! Serve chilled or over ice for a delightful and fruity drink.
