Description

There’s nothing like a refreshing drink to beat the summer heat. This Lemon Ginger Iced Green Tea with Honey is the perfect combination of zesty lemon, spicy ginger, earthy green tea, and the natural sweetness of honey. It’s a healthy, delicious, and hydrating treat for warm days or anytime you need a pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 green tea bags
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1/4 cup honey (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a medium pot. Once boiled, remove it from heat.
  2. Add green tea bags and fresh ginger slices to the hot water. Cover and steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your preferred tea strength.
  3. Remove the tea bags and ginger slices. Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm, ensuring it dissolves completely.
  4. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir well.
  5. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature. Transfer it to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour.
  6. Serve the chilled tea over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices, if desired.

Notes

  • For a stronger ginger flavor, let the ginger steep for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey based on your preference.
  • This tea can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
